VIDEO: An Isle of Wight film maker, who has established a following on the internet with his aerial videos of the island, has used his skills to capture stunning never-seen-before views of Queen Victoria’s seaside home, Osborne House.
Seb Godsmark has used a camera mounted on a quadcopter, a small remote-controlled helicopter, to film the Island from above.
Seb, a senior instructor at UKSA, set up SBG Films in October 2012, and his aerial video footage has been extremely well received, and English Heritage gave him excusive out-of-hours access to film on the estate.
Bryn Jones, Marketing Manager for the Isle of Wight for English Heritage said:
“The result is a stunning video with never-seen-before views of the house, gardens and beach. There’s even a fly-through of our newly opened play area at Swiss Cottage.
“We can’t wait to use the video to promote Osborne and the island. It shows the connection between the house and the Solent – the very reason why Queen Victoria and Prince Albert chose to build their home here.”
