Philip Bell, local author and publisher at Beachy Books, has published Jack and Boo’s Dinosaur Island, the fourth book in the award-winning, Jack and Boo children’s book series, all inspired by the Isle of Wight.
Jack and Boo’s Dinosaur Island is a children’s picture book about two children exploring a legendary island called Dinosaur Island – the real Isle of Wight. The book is an original mix of fun, fact and fiction, illustrated in full colour, with real photos from the real Dinosaur Island – the Isle of Wight.
Philip told Island Echo:
“This book is one for all the Jack and Boo fans as we had so many requests from children and parents to do a dinosaur book. After much research and hard work we finally did it. We hope it’ll inspire little dinosaur and fossil fans to follow in our own family adventures out on the real Dinosaur Island.”
The book has been endorsed by Dinosaur Isle in Sandown. Commenting, a spokesperson said:
“Follow in the inspiring footsteps of junior fossil hunters. This book is an exciting tale of the mysteries of dinosaurs and the relics they have left behind for us to find.”
Philip added:
“We love to hear feedback from our readers and in response Jack and Boo’s Dinosaur Island has two spotter guides, as they have proved so popular – one on Isle of Wight dinosaurs and the other showing some of the fossils you can find here.”
Jack and Boo’s Dinosaur Island retails at £5.99 and will be available at retailers across the Isle of Wight including Dinosaur Isle, IOW Zoo, Waterstones, Babushka Books in Shanklin, Briddlesford Farm Shop, Aqua Marine in Cowes, Bookworm in Seaview, Reflections in Yarmouth, Holdings in Yarmouth, Godshill Village Stores and Ryde Bookshop.
