Harrison Contractors Ltd are counting the costs after being subject to vandalism over the weekend.
The firm which is based in Ryde attended one of their worksites this morning to discover somebody or a group of people have taken it upon themselves to vandalise their equipment.
They say the damage has amounted to thousands of pounds worth of damage.
In a post shared on social media, Harrison Contractors said:
“Unfortunately this morning we have come to work to find that someone or a group have decided to vandalise our equipment.
“Not only have they broken into our site office, but they have also spray-painted our welfare and caused considerable damage to our high reach excavator in the hopes of starting the machine.
“This has amounted to thousands of pounds worth of damage.
They say police have been contacted and are asking anyone with information to get in contact with either police on 101 or directly to Harrison Contractors.
Need to be caught, imagine IF they had started the digger, it would have caused untold damage.
Need ‘hard Harry and the boot boys’ to sort them eh Neil?

It will be a tag against Kane Mathews from Sandown, showing him and his crew that there are Ryde boys about… well little shits that need to grow up and cannot even tag very well. Art work is crap, a 2 year old could do better..
Yet Mathews has acheived what he wants, a little bit of fame. Needs the owners fam to show him often, fame comes at a price.
