Family and friends joined Islander Phyllis Reading for her 90th birthday celebrations at the Garfield Methodist Church Hall in Ryde on Saturday.
Phyllis reached the grand old age of 90 on 1st July and thoroughly enjoyed her party, where there were games and entertainment from family and friends, including musical items from three of her great-grandchildren. A wonderful spread of food was put on, including a rainbow cake made by granddaughter Natasha.
Phyllis’s four children joined her in wearing fez’s as a tribute to the late Douglas Reading, who passed away in 2010, and loved to entertain and run games at family parties wearing his trademark fez.
