Cider fans will be able to enjoy a range of draught ciders from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland during a cider festival at three Island pubs.
The festivals will take place at S. Fowlers & Co. in Union Street, Ryde and The William Coppin in Newport, as well as the recently open The Man in the Moon in St James Street, Newport from Friday 11th July until Sunday 27th July inclusive.
The pubs will each offer up to 24 ciders over the 17 days, including some never previously available in the pubs and others produced exclusively for the festival. They include award-winning ciders, together with those with unusual flavours; beetroot, rhubarb, ginger and chilli, apple and raspberry and whisky cask cider. The selection will feature apple, pear and fruit ciders as well.
Among those on offer are; Boxing Dog (Mr Whitehead’s Cider Co), Somerset Tree Shaker (Shepton Mallet Cider Mill), Hogfather (Orchard Pig), Doctors Orders (Green Valley Cider Ltd), Pear Shaped (Sandford Orchards) and Whisky Cask (Thistly Cross Cider).
The ciders will be available from £2.35 to £2.70 a pint.
S. Fowlers & Co. manager, Neil Longley, said:
“Cider is the perfect summer drink and I am certain that people will enjoy our fantastic selection.
“The ciders have been sourced from across the UK and there is something to suit all palates.”
Tasting notes on all of the ciders will be available in the pubs.
