Southern Vectis have put in place a number of bus route diversions following the closure of Collingwood Road, Falcon Cross Road and Landguard Manor Road in Shanklin due to a partial collapse of the carriageway, as reported by Island Echo over the weekend.
It is understood the repair to the small stretch of road is likely to take a number of days.
In response to the closure, Routes 2 and 3 will not serve Shanklin Co-op. Passengers are advised to use the Shanklin Train Station stop.
The following school buses will divert:
Route 105 AM – To operate diversion from Landguard Road via left into Carter Road, left into Regent Street, right into Atherley Road, right into North Road to rejoin normal route ahead at High Street.
- Route 105 PM – To operate diversion from Clarendon Road via right into Regent Street / left into Carter Road to rejoin normal route turning right into Landguard Road.
Route 312 AM – To operate direct from High Street via North Road / Arthurs Hill to rejoin normal route ahead at A3055 Sandown Road.
- Route 312 PM – To operate from Wilton Park Road via left into Atherley Road, right into North Road to rejoin normal route ahead at High Street.
Route 313 AM – To operate diversion from Clarendon Road via right into Regent Street / left into Carter Road to rejoin normal route turning right into Landguard Road.
- Route 313 PM – To operate diversion from Landguard Road via left into Carter Road, left into Regent Street, right into Atherley Road, right into North Road to rejoin normal route ahead at High Street.
Routes 331 and 407 AM – To operate diversion from Landguard Road via left into Carter Road, left into Regent Street, right into Atherley Road, right into North Road to rejoin normal route ahead at High Street.
Routes 331 and 407 PM – To operate diversion from Clarendon Road via right into Regent Street / left into Carter Road to rejoin normal route turning right into Landguard Road.
