Amazon World has announced that it has closed its doors for the rest of the year due to the discovery of bird flu on the Isle of Wight.
After an already tough 2020, the management team have now had to make the decision to close the doors to members of the public due to avian flu being confirmed just 5 miles from the attraction.
A spokesperson has said:
“This decision has not come easily and we have enjoyed seeing all your friendly faces over the last two weekends however the safety of our birds is paramount and they will always come first.
“We will now close for the rest of the year and reassess the situation and our finances at the beginning of January.
“We cannot thank you enough for all your support you have shown us over the last 9 months since our first closure”.

all creatures should be in their natural habitats and not in a specially created prison in a different part of the world.
These creatures are being denied their fundamental natural right to live in the areas of the world that nature deemed suited to them and are being denied the freedom to live as they choose.
free them all and close down all these animal prisons.
people voting down clearly do not respect the rights of other lifeforms, to live the way nature intended for them
how about I take you out of your home, away from the surroundings you know and understand and then shove you in a cage or pool, so that others can gawp at you for the rest of your life.
have you ever seen how distressed animals are, when they cannot live naturally.
I totally agree but the problem is if you release them they get shot
hardly justification Ed.
Better to live six months on your feet, rather than a lifetime on your knees.
The vast majority of the planets wildlife is just that, wild and free – all those creatures locked up should join them.
No I think Id rather live than be dead.
the conservation argument doesn’t stack up. It is just an excuse to keep a lifeform from being free and having the chance to enjoy the life it was given at birth.
perhaps we lock up humans for no reason, just in case they get hurt outside.
it doesn’t matter if that lifeform is the last of its kind- we have no right to prevent that individual creature from being free – why is it being punished by being incarcerated – simply because there aren’t many of them for humans to gawp at …. the humans saving the creatures is a bit of a god complex…leave them be, they do not need us.
Ignore the ignorant fool in the hat.
I might be wrong or right but if zoos ect closed down a lot off animals would be extinct by now, if Amazon world shut down be 1 more less tourist attraction and another housing estate
They may aswell shut for good unless you have enough money to keep afloat, we got 2020 all over again in 2021 so stock up on popcorn and watch the global pantomime unfold!!
*you’re or even better, you are.
