A yellow ‘be aware’ warning for rain has been issued by the Met Office today (Wednesday).
There is a low risk of isolated thunderstorms breaking out across South East England during Thursday from the early hours onwards giving some intense downpours. These could give 15-20 mm of rain within an hour and 40 mm within 3 hours very locally. However many places could stay dry.
The public should be aware of the risk of localised surface water flooding.
