Wightlink passengers with accessible travel needs are being told to use the car ferry service instead of the catamaran tomorrow (Wednesday) due to essential maintenance work at Portsmouth Harbour.
The cross-Solent operator will be unable to accommodate any customers with accessible travel needs using a wheelchair or mobility scooter on Wednesday 7th October.
To maintain social distancing, staff will be unable to offer assistance to customers with any luggage, bikes, pushchairs, prams or walking frames.
Those who need to travel to or from the mainland are being told to use the company’s Fishbourne-Portsmouth car ferry service instead. Customers are being urged to ensure they are able to negotiate stairs on board safely without help.
Wightlink apologises for any changes to your travel plans.
