Hundreds of children and adults will descend on the golden sands of Appley Beach in Ryde this weekend for the annual festival of sport: the Beach Sports Championships.
Altogether, 22 finals will feature over the weekend of sport including volleyball, football, tennis, netball and paddleboard racing across multiple age groups. The Wight Wave Beach Fest will extend beyond sport with live music, a cocktail bar, barbecue and Forza Fan Zone, featuring in the event.
The Beach Sports Championships have been organised by the Wight Wave team, led by England Beach soccer coach Luke Kerr.
Wight Wave Beach Sports will be held on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st July, from 09:00 to 19:00.

Spent the whole day at this event, it was absolutely packed and amazing to see so many kids and adults engaged in different sports.
The organisers must be very proud of themselves,we had a fantastic day.
Would be great to see more food/drink outlet choices maybe next time.
Thank you …….what a day
