A major new vintage event at Goddards will bring tractors, steam engines and family entertainment together to raise funds for Mountbatten Isle of Wight.
A brand-new flagship event is set to take place over the late May Bank Holiday weekend, as Vectis Vintage Tractor & Engine Club teams up with Goddards to host a Vintage Tractor & Steam Weekender.
The event will see a wide range of vintage machinery on display, including classic tractors, stationary engines and steam-powered vehicles, alongside working exhibits showcasing traditional engineering in action.
Organisers say the weekend is designed to appeal to all ages, with an outdoor bar, live music and children’s activities all planned to create a lively, family-friendly atmosphere.
There will also be a competition to crown the best tractor and engine, adding a competitive edge to what is expected to be a popular new addition to the Island’s events calendar.
Importantly, the event will raise funds for Mountbatten Isle of Wight, with organisers hoping to attract a strong turnout in support of the charity’s vital work across the community.
A spokesperson for Vectis Vintage Tractor & Engine Club said the group is excited to launch the new event following the success of previous initiatives such as its well-supported tractor runs.
Visitors are encouraged to come along, enjoy the displays and entertainment, and support a good cause over the Bank Holiday weekend.
