Police on the Isle of Wight are this week appealing for a motorist to contact them following a road traffic collision in Freshwater last month.
The incident occurred at about 00:30 on the morning of Sunday 29th September in the vicinity of Gate Lane in Freshwater Bay. The victim, a 43-year-old man, was walking in the middle of the road when he was in collision with a car.
The driver of the car did not stop at the scene.
The man was later found to have sustained a broken right leg and a crushed heel bone on his left leg.
