Organisers of tomorrow’s Guys & Ghouls firework display in Newport have decided to cancel the event in the interests of safety.
The annual event was due to be held at Victoria Recreation Ground on Tuesday evening, but Newport & Carisbrooke Community Council feel the venue is too waterlogged and is therefore unsafe to proceed.
