This year’s Terror Island event at Blackgang Chine has been cancelled, with organisers now focusing on plans for an epic return in 2021.
2020 has seemed more like a horror movie than real life and has definitely been as stressful as one of Terror Island’s scare mazes at times.
Dominic Wray, Event Manager, says:
“Last year’s event was such a huge hit with our guests that after much discussion and deliberation with the team, we all feel that, given the current COVID-19 situation, we’d be too restricted by measures and protocols this year, and therefore unable to provide the awesome, immersive event that our guests deserve.
“2020 has been a tough one for the whole industry and the very nature of our scare mazes contravenes a number of Government guidelines; meaning it wouldn’t be responsible for us to go ahead.
“The team are devastated by this decision but have already started exciting new plans for 2021!”
After receiving such incredible feedback from the 2019 launch event and picking up a globally recognised ScareCon Award too, Terror Island’s event management team are looking forward to
returning in 2021 with a bigger, better, scarier event than ever before.
Details of next year’s event will be shared soon – keep an eye on the Terror Island social media for upcoming announcements.
