rotarychequeShanklin Rotary club this week presented the oldest Inner Wheel Club on the Island with a cheque from a recent fundraising sale.

Members were joined by guests for a celebration at Shanklin Conservative Club as Shanklin Rotary Club President Jim Petrie presented the Inner Wheel with a cheque for £3,500 from the proceeds of the annual Shanklin Sale, which will be used to support Island charities.

The Inner Wheel Club President together with Anne Cable received the cheque.

Shanklin Inner Wheel, which has recently celebrated its 75th anniversary, holds the title of oldest club in its district, which stretches as far as Fordingbridge, Hampshire.

Inner Wheel Club Of Shanklin Trust Fund was registered in 1994. Their charity registration number is 1038964.
