policetapePolice are this week appealing for witnesses after a roman horse statue, complete with rider, was stolen from a garden in Newport.

The unusual statue, which is roughly 12 inches in height, was stolen from the front garden of a house in Furrlongs, Pan Estate sometime between midnight and 09:47 on Sunday (26th May).

It comes after a dragon statue was stolen from Newport Road in Apse Heath last week.

Anyone with information should contact PC Simon Ellis at Newport Police Station by phoning 101. Information can be given anonymously by phoning the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
