A 21-year-old man has been arrested and questioned on suspicion of burglary after a rural shop was broken into last night (Sunday).
Chale Green Stores, located in the heart of Chale, has suffered thousands of pounds worth of damage after the callous break-in at around 22:00 yesterday evening.
As Island Echo reported last night, 6 Police vehicles attended the scene and conducted a search of the area.
Island Echo understands the shopkeeper, who lives above the premises, was away at the time of the incident.
