Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life returns to Southampton on Sunday 6th July and with no race on the Isle of Wight this year, Red Funnel is offering Island residents wishing to take part an exclusive ferry discount.
On race day, runners can get Red Jet or vehicle ferry foot passenger day return crossings for just £5 for adults and £2.50 for children*. In addition to discounts specifically for runners, each Race for Life participant can get up to three discounted day return tickets per race number, allowing friends and family to come along to cheer them on. To claim the offer, race participants simply need to show their Race for Life race number on Sunday 6th July, when travelling from East Cowes or West Cowes on the Isle of Wight.
Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life is a 5k or 10k women-only fundraising event, which raises money for research to help beat all 200 types of cancer. Race for Life Southampton will begin at Southampton Common, starting at 09:00 for the 10km race and at 11:30 for the 5km race.
