Monday 4th August marks the centenary of Britain’s entry in to World War One, and to mark this significant event, Red Funnel Isle of Wight Ferries will be observing a two minute silence on board its ferries at 22:00.
Red Funnel will be inviting passengers to participate in a two minute silence to commemorate the fallen servicemen and women of the war, on crossings to and from the Island that are sailing when the clock strikes 22:00.
Red Funnel will notify passengers on board of the start and end of the two minute period.
During this time, Island Echo will refrain from posting any news updates as we remember the fallen.
