Arreton Barns will be staging a June Bank Holiday weekend of Jubilee fun on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th June.
Saturday will be aimed firmly at family fun. Join Bob the Cob and Connie Corn from 10:00 – 16:00. Wander the stalls, play games at the traditional fairground, and get crafty crown making with Anthony from Creaturama. There’s also a Jubilee themed treasure trail as well as live music and entertainment.
At 13:00, there will be a fun-filled children’s tea party with food kindly donated from Asda. Entry to the event is free. All money raised will go to Aspire in Ryde, so donations on the day will be greatly appreciated.
On Sunday, there will be a Jubilee Shindig at the Dairyman’s Daughter with live music and entertainment from 12:00 to 18.30. Live bands include the Isle of Wight pipes and drums and Wight Ukers alongside Morris dancing from the Oyster Girls and Men of Wight. The event will be raising money for Isle of Wight Independent Inshore Rescue.
Jane Gibbs, owner of Arreton Barns, said:
“We are so pleased to be able to offer a fun event for the whole family over the Jubilee weekend. I would like to send special thanks to Karen Eeles for arranging the tea party with us and securing the very generous donation from Asda as well as Lindsay McComb for the super Shindig line up.”
