POLICE PROBE OVERNIGHT THEFT AT GARDEN CENTRE IN FRESHWATER

Police are investigating a theft at Honnor and Jeffrey Afton Garden Centre in Freshwater which took place during the early hours of yesterday morning (Monday).

A number of palm trees, olive trees, conifers and a variety of pots/planters were taken at some point between 01:30 and 03:00.

Officers investigating the incident are asking Islanders to keep an eye out for the stolen items, which may be offered for sale. These include palm trees, olive trees, conifers, cream heritage stone plant pot, large stone planter,  stone owls and large stoneware sheep.

Do you know who has stolen them or where they are stored? Has someone tried to sell these to you? If you have any information, no matter how small you may feel it is, call Police on 101.

Do these people who steal from others and take what isn’t theirs ever stop and think what this does
