policetapePolice are this week appealing for information after a driver failed to stop following a collision with a young teenager in East Cowes.

The incident happened at about 17:30 last Tuesday (29th October), when a 14-year-old boy was crossing Adelaide Grove and was hit by a car pulling out of Yarborough Road.

The vehicle, believed to be driven by a woman, is described as either a black Renault or Citroen.

The youngster, who was knocked to the ground, sustained a shoulder injury as well as torn skin to the left elbow and a grazed left hip.

PC Paul Neill said:

“We are appealing for anyone who may have seen this incident or the driver herself to come forward and get in touch with police.”
