Entries are now open for one of the Isle of Wight’s most popular and eagerly anticipated open-water swimming events.
The Isle of Wight Marlins Swim Club has confirmed that swimmers can now sign up for the Pier2Pier Sea Swim Isle of Wight 2026.
The event will take place on Saturday 1st August, with the swim getting underway at 14:00. A back-up date has also been scheduled for Sunday 2nd August at 15:00, should sea conditions require it.
The Pier2Pier Sea Swim is renowned for its friendly atmosphere and spectacular coastal setting, and has become a firm favourite in the open-water swimming calendar. With entries traditionally selling out quickly, swimmers are being encouraged to secure their place as soon as possible.
Entries are available via the official Results Base platform, and organisers are urging participants and supporters alike to spread the word.
The club says the event offers a memorable and rewarding sea-swimming experience, combining challenge, camaraderie and the unique backdrop of the Isle of Wight coastline.

Real name Pier2NoPier swim.
I cannot believe the Pier was never rebuilt.
It sadly got destroyed in the Great Storm of 1987
“feels like only yesterday”
The remains of the Pier were still there until 1993
Being the Pier used to charge an entrance fee
back in the 1980s and Fred was raising money for
repairs it could and should have been rebuilt.
Shanklin has never been the same without the great
Pier.
