wightlinkCross Solent operator Wightlink are advising customers this week about overnight work being carried out this coming weekend and later in the month.

On Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th October and Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th October, essential link span works at Fishbourne will result in the closure of the Portsmouth Gunwharf to Fishbourne car ferry route overnight.

The last sailing from Portsmouth Gunwharf will be at 21:00 on the Saturday, recommencing at 07:00 on Sunday. The last sailing from Fishbourne will be 22:00 on the Saturday, recommencing at 08:00 on Sunday.

To compensate the closure, there will be additional sailings on the Portsmouth Harbour – Ryde catamaran route and the Lymington – Yarmouth ferry route.

The additional sailings are:

Portsmouth Harbour: 00:15, 03:15, 05:15
Ryde: 01:15, 04:15, 06:15

Lymington: 23:00, 01:00, 03:00
Yarmouth: 00:05, 02:00, 04:00

Wightlink are sorry for the inconvenience that this will cause. Passengers already booked on the affected sailings will be contacted to make alternative arrangements.
