As a part of Blackgang Chine’s family-friendly Halloween event, Frights & Sprites (19th 23rd & 26th – 31st), for 2 weeks only, the much-loved Triassic Club trio will return to the park for a pop-up installation.
After the scaly creatures first found their way into the park back in 1994, dinosaurs Oscar, Darwin and Wallace spent their days weighing up delicious options for dinner…namely unsuspecting guests! The characters spent 20 years inviting guests to join their banquet in the hopes of luring tasty individuals into their dining experience.
After providing entertainment to countless Blackgang visitors over the years, the trio were retired from the park in 2015 with plans for restoration work to take place, ready for a potential future unveiling.
The Blackgang Chine team had originally intended to reveal the restored and re-programmed animatronics at their dino-themed Easter event earlier this year. After these plans were unfortunately put on hold, it was decided that, rather than leave these prehistoric creatures in the dark, the team would press forward with their come back – this time, as a part of the Halloween event.
Those who remember the trio from previous visits to the park will recognise elements from the 2010 version of ‘Dinner Party’ audio and be able to see the nostalgic dinosaurs brought back to life with newly restored movements.
This year’s Frights & Sprites event will now be host to not only the theatrical Rumpus Mansion LIVE experience and Halloween-themed games and activities, but also Wallace Darwin and Oscar’s latest tactics to locate their next plump and juicy victim.
The Triassic Club will be open as part of the October half-term event from 19th – 23rd & 26th – 31st, 11:00-15:00 only.
