23-year-old Leon Gladdis from Union Street in Newport who has been charged with making off without payment.
It’s alleged that he filled a car up with petrol at the Tesco filling station off Brading Road on 27th September and did not pay for it.
He has also been charged with driving whilst disqualified on the same day.
Gladdis has been remanded in custody to appear at the Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court.

Take his car away for good. Disqualified drivers should be banned for life, it would cost all of us
increase in premiums if he collides with our cars. Scum
Ban it for life from all garages.
Not saying this is right or it’s ok to do but hes been remanded into custody for that but yet theres been a story of someone committing a sexual offence and doesnt get locked up? Is it me or does that not make sense??
There was evidence to charge re making off offence, unlike the sexual offence. If not charged you can’t remand.
Hint hint …. Offer to pay but say you forgot your card, then it’s a civil offence and not criminal… tadaaarrrr
Ok so ill offer to pay your wages but say i forgot my card. Or benefits more likely.
Jeffi you are an idiot for giving scumbags more dishonest ideas
Lol… yawn… oh yea I have a dam good job and don’t claim benefits … please bring on the next comment … I’m bored
