Those interested in a career in the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are being urged to book a place on its upcoming recruitment open day, which is due to be held this October.
As the service gets ready to open its next recruitment window, the open day gives those interested the chance to get the knowledge and confidence needed to take the first steps toward achieving their dream job.
Advice and information on the recruitment process will also be available in a safe and informal setting to support individuals thinking of joining our team.
You can book a place and find out more on the website now.

Over qualified if you can put out a few bales of straw in less than a week, likely you will become the Fire Cheif should you manage that ‘difficult task’
My washing stinks of smoke now as this STILL is smouldering.
Mate you’ll be the first one to want the fire service when your house is on fire or someone you love is having potentialy their worst moment in life and needs help im a firefighter and barn fires can go on for a long time there actually harder to deal with than you think and will smolder for a week if theres no risk of it going no where it can be monitored by the farmer rather than having an appliance and crew hot spotting it you’d moan then if a crew sat there for a week!! maybe you should do some research before putting a negative comment dont slate your islands fire service there doing what is within the standard operation procedures
