A kitesurfer has set a new world record by circumnavigating the Isle of Wight in a groundbreaking time of 2 hours and 24 minutes.
Professional kitesurfer Guy Bridge broke his previous 2 hours 32 minute record – which he set in July of 2016 – on the 11th May on board his Tarifa Foil Board.
Guy, who has partaken in the sport as part of Team GB previously, undertook the 50 nautical mile course at an average speed of 20.76 knots which translates approximately to 23 mph.
