A 26-year-old man behind the wheel of a car that collided with another in Bouldnor last October, killing 28-year-old Rachel Titley, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
Craig Eccleston-Todd, 26 and of Clifford Street, Newport has been charged following the fatal collision on 11th October last year, in which innocent Rachel Titley from Totland died when the two vehicles – a Citoren Xsara and a Daihatsu Quore – collided on the A3054 at Bouldnor near Yarmouth.
Eccleston-Todd has also been charged with causing death by careless driving whilst over the drink-drive limit and has been bailed to appear in front of Portsmouth Magistrates Court on 1st April.
The charges are part of Operation Bach, an investigation launched by officers from Hampshire Constabulary’s road death investigation team, as previously reported by Island Echo.
