Help was on hand from Cowes RNLI yesterday evening (Wednesday) for a cabin cruiser that once starred in the James Bond film ‘From Russia with Love’.
Unlike its high-speed role in the blockbuster movie, the 28ft Fairey Nuff became stranded in Osborne Bay with engine trouble.
The couple on board gratefully received a tow from the lifeboat to Trinity Landing at Cowes, where it was then arranged for a marine engineer to visit the cabin cruiser, a Fairey Huntsman 28, based at Shamrock Quay, Southampton.
The lifeboat was launched at 19:20 and returned to station about an hour later.
