cowespolicestationNational pub chain JD Wetherspoon has this week confirmed its interest in the former Cowes Police Station, which has recently gone on the market.

Following the announcement earlier this year that a new Wetherspoons public house is to open in the former Temptations nightclub on St James’ Street, Newport, the British chain has taken an interest in the unusual premises on Birmingham Road, Cowes – near to the chain ferry.

Although early days, the high interest from the company could see the Island’s 4th Wetherspoons pub open up alongside Fowlers in Ryde, the William Coppin in Newport and the soon-to-be-launched ‘The Man on the Moon’ public house in Newport.
