Public Sector workers across the Isle of Wight including teachers, police officers and doctors are set to get a well-deserved pay rise.
The Government has announced that more than 900,000 workers across the country will set a boost to their wage packets of up to 3.1%.
Teachers will get the biggest pay rise at 3.1%, followed by doctors and dentists who will receive a 2.8% increase to their annual salary.
Police officers who serve our community will also benefit to the tune of 2.5%.
Other sectors set to see a pay boost include the prison service, the armed forces, the National Crime Agency, judiciary workers, senior civil servants and senior military officials.
What about carers? Not only caring for their residents but also being their company whilst family and friends were not able to visit due to Covid restrictions. Let’s not let them go unnoticed in all this. They are doing a very difficult physical and emotional job and are normally paid low wages.
What about the rest of us. I havnt had a pay rise in 6 years.
Doctors !!! They’re not even working should be getting wages taken off them till they get back to surgeries and consultations !
What about nurses !
What about nurses and carers? They’ve worked so hard. Doctors have hardly worked unless in hospitals neither have dentists!
Who exactly are senior civil servants? What have they done? Once again it’s our bottom line key workers who get forgotten. Where’s their thanks for all they’ve done? Disgusting.
Are nurses not involved in pay increase
Yes. Their pay settlement was agreed in April. Thank you for thinking of us though.
What about the pretend key workers who work in Supermarkets, They should get a pay rise as well!
Meanwhile other key workers get bugger all.
What about cleaners . They are always at risk while keeping everyone else safe
