Isle of Wight under-13 side Vectis have won the Hampshire Waterfall Bowl Rugby final, beating home side Havant by an emphatic 20-point margin.
The first 15 minutes saw both sides not wanting to give anything away with Vectis shading the possession. After a period of pressure, Max Kulik went over for the 1st try of the game. Before half-time, some strong running from Henry Hibberd saw him score the 2nd try, giving Vectis a deserved but hard-fought lead at half-time.
With Havant needing to come at Vectis in the 2nd half, then the game began to open up and, after a period of strong defending by Vectis to keep Havant from their try line, Freddie Young broke through from the halfway line to score try number 3. Soon after, another impressive run saw Freddie add try number 4.
At no time did Havant let their heads drop, but with around 5 minutes left, Aleksander broke the defensive line to score try number 5. In the dying minutes, Havant deservedly got themselves on the scoresheet with a well-played attack down the wing.
