1st Cat rider, Joe Staunton, has been on great form and is currently standing in 2nd place overall in the Dick Evans’ Memorial Summer Series after several close finishes in the bunch sprints.
On Wednesday (29th June), Joe lost by just 300ths of a second to the current series leader. Joe was supported by 2nd Cat rider, Oliver Nolan, who just missed out on the break but fought hard to take a well-earned 9th place in a field of class riders.
Joe and Oliver were also in action in the recent E/1/2 Omega National B race at Alexandra Park. This was a great tactical race with Joe taking another 2nd place, earning him the points to secure his 1st Cat licence again for next season.
New 3rd Cat signings – Elvis Belton, Chris Marsh, and Richard Nembhard – joined Kev Foster to race in the Goodwood Summer Series along with 2nd Cat, James Veal. All the riders competed well but just missing out on taking the points last week.
