Almost 300,000 meals were claimed for on the Isle of Wight during the Eat Out to Help Out scheme in the month of August.
A staggering 235 different establishments were registered with the scheme across the Island, with those eating out at each location offered a 50% discount on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Figures released by the Government confirm that 296,000 meals were claimed for during August, with the total amount of discount claimed hitting £1.64million.
The average discount per meal was £5.53.
