Island residents can now apply for a Blue Card which will make claiming a discount at Hovertravel even easier.
The Blue Card entitles anybody that can prove residency in the Isle of Wight to an exclusive 20% off discount on day return fares.
Loretta Lale, Commercial & Marketing Manager at Hovertravel explains:
“We have always offered a discount to Island residents and we wanted make claiming that discount even easier. By launching the Blue Card we can also start to introduce the ability to book online.”
To get your Blue Card, simply take a proof of address to either the Ryde or Southsea terminals and request a sign up form at any of the counters. You can also apply online by searching ‘Blue Card’ in the search field on www.hovertravel.co.uk and then follow the required steps.
For now Blue Cards can only be used on bookings made inside the terminals, but very soon card holders will also be able to claim their discount when booking online. Blue Card holders will also be sent additional special offers throughout the year!
