Iceland has recalled 2 of their own brand chicken products because salmonella has been discovered.
The recall was issued yesterday (Monday) as a precautionary measure with Islanders warned by the Food Standard Agency not to consume either of the products.
Affected packs of Iceland Chip Shop Curry Chicken Breast Toppers (400g) have a best before date of either 27th February 2021, 17th March 2021 or 8th April 2021 (pictured left/above).
In addition, affected packs of Iceland Southern Fried Chicken Popsters (220g) have a best before date of 4th April 2021 (pictured below).
Symptoms caused by salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.
If you have bought any of the above products do not consume them. Instead, return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund or contact Iceland Customer Care line on 0800 328 0800 and select option 2.
Point of sale notices will be displayed in all of Iceland’s retail stores to warn shoppers who do not have access to the internet.

I would rather have safe to eat chooks and food poisoning is awful and dangerous for the old and very young.
