Sandown & Shanklin were defeated by Old Wimbledonians at The Fairway on Saturday, in a 12-34 loss.

With a decent sunny afternoon, The Hurricanes hosted Old Wimbledonians in the third round of the Junior Vase.

Men of the match Harry Hopper and Michael Barrett were at the fore for the home side. The Hurricanes managed to score 2 tries, 1 coming from Josh Robinson, making a first appearance in over 5 years for Sandown & Shanklin. The second try coming through centre Alex Loftus.

The visitors could only manage 3 tries, yet a number of penalties kept the Hurricanes at bay and could bridge the deficit in the end.

This Saturday sees the final league games of 2017 to be hosted at the Fairway, with the Hurricanes hosting Ellingham & Ringwood RFC and Eastleigh 3rd XV.

Support the Hurricanes for the last time at home on Saturday 16th December, kick off from 14:00.
