To celebrate and commemorate the D-Day landings, qualifying personnel can travel on a day return from Ryde for just 70 pence.
Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is hosting over 50 D-Day veterans and 30 US D-Day veterans on Monday 2nd June, including a tour of MGB81: a genuine piece of D-Day history which took part in D-Day landings as one of the lead boats for British and Canadian troops on approaches to Sword Beach.
The offer is also extended to all military personnel (including MOD) who can claim a 50% discount on Day Return travel from Ryde between 2nd & 8th June. For both offers identification must be provided and veterans & senior citizen retired military personnel need to show a form of identification or wear their military standard.
