Firefighters were called to Shanklin Beach Hotel this afternoon (Sunday) following reports of a fire in a hotel room.
Crews from Sandown and Shanklin were sent to the scene on the Esplanade at 17:10, however the fire was out upon arrivals of firefighters.
A kettle has been blamed for the alert.
