Isle of Wight RFC continued its centenary celebrations with a specially convened match between a Club XV and an IWRFC President’s invitational XV. The occasion and glorious sunshine drew a huge crowd to Wootton Rec, who were treated to a mixed touch match and Vectis RFC u10s exhibition match, before the centrepiece game. A very strong President’s XV won the high-scoring main match comprehensively, fielding ex-IWRFC players along with some players from the other Island clubs. Youngsters Jesse Butchers and Jack Davis were among those who scored more than once for a team selected by club President Dave Metcalfe and captained by stalwart Ollie Boulter. The Club XV did have their moments and scored 4 tries of their own, 2 for captain Luke Blackman and one each for Dave Hanson and George Huish, while evergreen prop Martin Newnham was named Biffa man of the match. Afterwards, players and supporters along with a host of club members past and present came together in the clubhouse to toast Isle of Wight RFC and make further memories. A raffle was held and raised £518 for MNDA IW – the club would like to thank all who supported the raffle and donated prizes. Isle of Wight play their final home games of the season on Saturday, the firsts welcoming Overton while the seconds take on New Milton.

Connect him up to a milking machine for 6 months as punishment, nasty man stealing from the honesty store.
Wait hol’up
Has lived in Ventnor for years always rubbish, violent at football matches, and always into crime. Shame Covid wasn’t more selective and deadly
Young people are destroying our island!
He looks a bit older than Young
He isn’t actually young now is he??? 56 maybe got 14 years left on this planet!
The only thing young about him is his 2nd name
hes not young
Weirdo! think someone needs to check your hard drive
A complete and total POS this one…
What a piece of shit, steal from an honesty shop, Needs hands smashing
Good ……!!!!!!!!!
Police not interested no way don’t believe that
Obviously not needed their help any time then
It was sarcasm Jane
I believe those at the honesty store. Our police are very poor, why would they post on their Facebook page that they have charged the said person but turn off commenting? Nothing corrupt going on there?
Police wouldn’t of if not for public support and challenges on Facebook. How could police say not enough evidence?.
I’m not surprised
See another old fart up too no good
always the same, they get away with everything
Except the crime.
The police need to sort crime out . He has always been trouble
hahahahahahahahahahaha
That’s because Fred lives in the past ,way back, when police, politicians and doctors did their jobs, because of the oath they swore. FAR different then the traitors we have in society today! But they are being exposed. Just look at sunaks face, full of fear! Fear of the truth the people are now seeing.
Sadly in 2024 it’s risky having an honesty shop / box.
That was the good old days.
It wasn’t long ago you could leave your back door open for neighbours to pop in; “Hi, Jean, I’m making a cake but run out of butter; have you got some? I’ll bring some back tomorrow.”
Ha ha. What a complete twat. Looking directly at the camera with a highly informative message behind him. Put him in a sack and throw it in the sea.
Why pollute the sea, just shoot him.
waste of a bullet
Police initially said they wouldn’t investigate the matter, according to those behind the honesty store.
…
a crime was committed, it was reported, if the police won’t investigate, then what is their purpose and if they won’t investigate, Society has every right to deal with the matter themselves, if the system put in place to prevent society having to deal with it personally, doesn’t deliver.
we are heading back to the times before the police existed – where people used vigilante justice to deal with those who caused them problems.
And yet the lying Donna Jones still sees to it that the police precept goes up every year. The police precept should be abolished on the Isle of Wight.
Very well said.
It’s a criminal offence why are the police not interested in pursuing the case.
Because it would mean paperwork, which they can’t be bothered to do.
Yes true, they are like every other government department swamped with unneeded process and paperwork which even for simple crime like this will take dozens of man hours just putting on computer from call to investigation officers, arresting officers, custody, legal aid, prisoner welfare, then interview, charging etc and then CPS and report and attend Court – probably cost around £2000/£3000 . Police should when have evidence just get CPS to set punishment,no need court and legal aid
Police wouldn’t investigate what a joke.
Time we scrapped the police and let the public take control. Crime would be reduced in weeks.
Well said I totally agree with you.
They tried that in America… a total abject failure! Crime through the roof, gangs running the streets and when those who defunded the police realised what an enormous cock up it was the police refused to get involved. There are parts of some cities that are a war zone. There will be some of us who would love to sort this scum out, but there are more snowflakes who will support them and sue anyone twatting them.
Ironic surname for someone who looks at least 70 years old….
My goodness Tim was my neighbour once a long time ago… he has aged through his choice of drug use for many years .
He comes from a lovely family. Such a shame to see him like this now and stealing like this.
Please don’t take sympathy for this robbing scumbag, it needs to be put in a room and the good people would sort this scumbag.
A complete knobhead . One day he will get locked up for years but the judicial system lacks capacity to deal with the likes of him .
Substance abuse face. He doesn’t give a rats arse about getting caught or what people think when he is caught. He’s one of those people you can guarantee will do the wrong thing in almost any given situation. Years of bad choices have taken it’s toll on his appearance. Not surprised by this news at all.
Your old fools need to lock up for good then we’re live in a better society
Letting yourself down on your grammar there kev!
Didn’t learn at school are teaches were too busy abuseing us and hitting us the old farts
Wan king kev at it again, mummy will catch you soon dirty boy.
Just because you get thrills about kids you freak
Troglodyte Is te correct description
This bloke is a joke , always has been and always will be
Loads on of scumbags on the Island and all over this third world country, as no its known in other countries.
Should’ve gone to Specsavers!
I heard him say to a mate ” People round her seem to think I’m from Kent. Well that’s what I hear them muttering when I walk past”
ye ..he’s from the lower end of the gene pool..scum.
It’s only because a big corporation had issues with theft, and couldn’t be seeing working for one and not the other! And the police on the island have the audacity to ask for more money in our council tax this year? What for? They don’t go and deal with issues of car theft , or damage!
Saving grace is that this toothless piece of work won’t live to get his pension 🙂
Had his parents ever listened when people were telling them, what a naughty boy the Timmy was becoming 50 years ago. Instead of thinking, people are just jealous of what we have. Maybe he would have been steered down the right track. Instead they chose a life of turning a cheek to what others were saying & bailing him out time after time. They still believe he’s not such a bad lad & dream up their own stories as to why he gets accused all the time!!
His Dad had his own business but would always be trying it on. Ripping off a customer or two.
So I guess some of this is karma really. What goes around, comes around!
I knew him 30 years ago. His Dad was a nice guy but I’ve no idea how he was brought up. You may well be right but they aren’t twisting his arm and making him do all the horrible stuff he gets up to. He’s fast running out of time to put things right, I’ve got no sympathy for him at all. Check his Facebook profiles…
He was hitch hiking back to Ventnor a couple of months back. I picked him up and dropped him off in town. I was going that way. He was ok. Very chatty and likeable. He looks like a rogue and as it turns out he is! I thought he was ok though. I’m very cautious and capable so didn’t feel any threat or unease but I got the feeling that he might not be totally square, if you know what I mean? It’s a pity because I’ll bet that most of the time he’s a sound bloke. It’s just that last bit when he makes a bad choice that’ll catch him out every time. Now I know what he’s about I’ll be a bit more careful. Still give him a lift if I saw him but watch out a bit more. It’s a pity really.
I’m interested to know what you think of this
Times are hard. People do what people do. I don’t know the back stories or the reasons why people act how they do. But at the end of the day, nobody got harmed. It was only money. Probably the first time it’s happened to them and it may never happen again. Just have to be be more vigilant I suppose.
Mr Young is a disgusting human being. His poor mother and father were always put on by his actions. I lived next door to his father and I myself have been a victim of his drug addiction.this horrible man shouldn’t be on the st..other disgusting offence like domestic violence, battery. Burglary isn’t respecting a family name that runs a vacation retreat for good honest people. Unfortunately his parents have always bailed him out and are shamed by this animal.. I hope he gets a good long custodial sentence.
