If you’d like to show your support for this coming Isle of Wight Day, Hursts have your free Isle of Wight Day bunting to pick up!
Isle of Wight Day is this coming Saturday 11th September – and Islanders are being urged to get the bunting out and celebrate!
Hursts, with 6 branches all across the Island, are helping the distribution of Isle of Wight Day bunting this year. Pop into any of their branches in Newport, Freshwater, Cowes, Shanklin, Ryde or Ventnor and pick up your complimentary bunting.
Jevon Kennedy, Managing Director of Hursts commented:
“This is such an amazing event to support bringing the community together during what remains an uncertain and somewhat turbulent time. We are an extremely proud Isle of Wight business and it`s a pleasure to help people show their pride in being part of the Island community by putting up the bunting.”
The main Isle of Wight Day family fun event takes place this Saturday at Carisbrooke Castle 12:00 until 18:00 with entry costing just £1 for Islanders. Bring proof of residency (eg. utility bill).

Yes because we’re not producing enough pointless waste as it is.
Grow up it is trying to support the island and can be used year on year….
Perhaps a date other than 9/11 would have been more appropriate.
Hurst didn’t select the date.
I do not believe I suggested that they did. I was merely pointing out that the 20th anniversary of 9/11 is rather an odd date to choose to “celebrate” anything.
yes pop into Hurst and get some bunting and some of that ya’know and that thingy.
