Cowes Men’s Shed is organising a buffet at their base on Somerton Industrial Park – the first get together since the pandemic began.
The buffet will be open from 11:00 to 14:00 on Thursday, 10th March. Anyone wishing to attend should make a minimum donation of £1 for refreshments
Adam, from Cowes Men’s Shed, says:
“It’s been far too long since we have been able to arrange a get together for our members and welcome faces old and new. Do come along and enjoy some time with us.”
Cowes Men’s Shed is open to everyone aged 18 and over and not just men. 25% of its members are women. It offers a carpentry workshop, craft room, IT area and gardens with polytunnels, raised beds, seating areas and even red squirrels.
Some sheds locally exclude women and men aged younger than 55, but Cowes Men’s Shed is open to all. The Project Leader is available to lend a hand, give guidance (when requested) and to show members how to use equipment unfamiliar to them. Besides woodwork and pottering about in the gardens, it has also played host to people quilling, knitting, model-making, singing and numerous craft activities.
Cowes Men’s Shed is located at 25,26 Somerton Industrial Park, Cowes, PO31 8PA
