Storeroom2010 – a furniture re-use charity – and the Isle of Wight Foodbank were delighted to accept a £12,500 cheque each yesterday (Friday) after benefiting from the Co-operative Community Support Card Scheme.
Having recently moved to new premises on the Somerton Estate in Cowes, Storeroom2010’s kind donation from The Co-Operative will help with the costs incurred by the move and also go towards the proposed carpentry courses that should be up and running by the end of this year.
Meanwhile, the Isle of Wight Foodbank will be using their donation received to purchase a new van which is vital for the charity, as the previous one was unreliable.
