Dog Wardens from the Isle of Wight Council have today rescued a dog which was tied up and abandoned in Chale.
The female dark brindle mastiff or mastiff cross was discovered in Chale Green wearing a leather collar with a long lead, tied to a nearby stile.
Several people have been in touch with the Council this afternoon following an appeal for information as to the details of the pets owner.
The Isle of Wight Council would like to thank the RSPCA, who also played am important role in this case.
