Residents in Havenstreet near Ryde are being urged to remain vigilant after 3 thefts in the village in the past week.
A scooter was taken from outside a property at some point on Tuesday evening (14th July). It was later found damaged and abandoned near to Firestone Copse.
On the same evening, close to the community centre, a car was broken into with a watch and jacket stolen from within.
CCTV footage is understood to have captured 2 males in hoodies in the vicinity at shortly before 23:00. Police have been alerted to the incidents and are investigating.
The 2 thefts come after a new property being built near St Peter’s Court was broken into over the weekend. At some point between Friday afternoon and Sunday morning, a number of power tools and other items were stolen after entry was forced into the building.

Used to be a nice little quite village, now, as more houses are crammed into Ryde, all such places will feel the crime wave expand outwards, until there is nowhere left to hide.
