COINS STOLEN IN SANDOWN BURGLARY

policetapePolice on the Isle of Wight are this week investigating a burglary in Sandown.

A cash box was stolen from an address in Hill Street between 10:30 and 13:40 on Saturday (22nd June).

Specific items taken during the burglary include €450, two Canadian gold coins, three silver coins with Chinese Year of the Snake thereon, 15 Krugerands and one silver coin with a Panda Bear thereon.

Anyone with any information about the current whereabouts of these coins, and particularly any second hand dealers dealers who are offered these coins, are asked to make contact with Newport CID at Newport Police Station by phoning 101.

Information can be given anonymously by phoning the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
