Organisers of the Isle of Wight Takeover car event, which was due to take place next month, have confirmed that the event has been cancelled for 2020.
Those behind the gathering say that it has been an ‘extremely challenging time’ and that they have delayed any announcement on the September event to be absolutely certain that they are making the right decision, ensuring the safety of guests and staff.
With fears that the takeover experience wouldn’t be the same with limitations in place, the decision has been taken to cancel Isle of Wight Takeover 2020.
All tickets and trade bookings will automatically be rolled onto next year, when it is hoped the event can return bigger and better than ever. Dates are to be confirmed.
The Isle of Wight Ford Takeover – specifically for Ford vehicles – will take place in May 2021.

I hope this is cancelled for good, couple of f****g idiots overtaking me on Cowleaze at about 5.20pm today, doing well over the speed limit, and orange ford focus and a silver car, going to quick to even recognise. This sort of event encourages the moron drivers. The name itself smacks of aggression “Takeover”

Had some idiot over take me going thru areton last week. Jus before the bend by the shop going towards lake. If he was 1/2 minutes later he would have been head on with g.
