Police are today seeking the public’s help in identifying two men after a Toyota car was extensively damaged in the Oakfield area of Ryde last week.
The incident occurred at the junction of Reed Street and the High Street last Thursday (23rd August).
Footage from CCTV has shown a youth, wearing a light coloured hoodie with the hood up, throwing a large rock at the silver Toyota, which was parked on the owner’s driveway. Another youth, in dark clothing, is seen hiding behind a wall.
PC Carolyn Pointing of Hampshire Constabulary said:
“We are interested in hearing from anyone who may have information to help us identify the two youths seen in the CCTV footage.
“This is the second time that the victim has had his car targeted and the roof and windscreen were both badly damaged. We are keen to find these suspects so they can assist us with our enquiries.”
Anyone with information can contact PC Pointing at Newport CID by phoning 101. Information can be given anonymously by phoning the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
