UPDATED: Police are this afternoon (Wednesday) attending a road traffic collision in Binstead involving a Southern Vectis bus and a car.
One of the bus company’s new vehicles, a double decker bus operating on the Route 9 service, collided with a Honda Jazz shortly before 14:30 outside Ryde Golf Course on Binstead Main Road.
Traffic is heavy in both directions whilst investigations take place and recovery of both vehicles is arranged.
Paramedics have attended the scene alongside multiple Police units.
The bus has sustained heavy damage to the passenger door area.
UPDATE @ 16:16 – The incident has been cleared and traffic is flowing once again.
Two bus passengers received minor injuries.
